National Disgrace of the Week will be a weekly blog that highlights actions by American government or society which should embarrass the citizenry of the US. At times we have veered so far from the ideals and values of the country that they should be called out as such. It is unfortunate that we have arrived at this time in history when new disgraces can be found each week, but hopefully this weekly journal will put perspective on the topics that consume the most air-time (and possibly some that do not).

The author of this blog is attempting to provide perspective on a periodic basis without declining into an abyss of frustration and dismay. The blog is not intended to be a forum for dialogue – thus no comments are permitted here. If you want to read it, fine. If you don’t like it, don’t read it. If you wish to share these thoughts with others, that’s OK too.
